Artwork for the band Brother Elsey based off of lyrics from the song "Passing Through".
They wanted a piece with strong line work and a more abstract, minimalist look. I took inspiration from the lyrics and related them to the mythological tale of the abduction of Europa by Zeus, who took on the form of a bull. I also incorporated imagery seen in Spanish bullfighting - when a bull charges past a red garment - in this case, the woman's dress.Perhaps in this retelling, the woman in the dress is in fact the matador who subdues the charging bull.
